Dove Family Approved Movie Reviews – What a great website to help families know what type of language and movie they are inviting into their child’s mind.

A little secret – I enjoy a scary movie.  My dad and I used to watch them together when I was a teenager. I would make him sit through the entire movie with me because I was truly scared.  Why I still watched can probably be explained by a psychiatrist somewhere.

Recently, my hubby (aka Country Boy from Holland) went to the movies.  We had not been in over two years. Yes, it was a scary movie.   He does not care for them but loves me enough to suffer through.

We have two little ones (Party Planning Princess and Handsome Prince) and their Gee was spending some time with them at home.  We were the only two in the theater.  Then in comes a family.  It distracted us so much.  Not because we were no longer the only ones in the theater but they had a two year old little girl with them.  I was furious and so scared for the innocent little girl.

We did say something to the theater and gave the family “the look” my mom has taught me so well to give.

I thought I would share this wonderful link with other families.  I know no one reading this blog would think of taking a 2 year old to see Hanzel and Gretal.

Dove has an excellent resource, http://dove.org/default1.asp to help families become aware prior to walking into the theater with their family.  You will be armed with the language, sexual content, and ages appropriate for the movie.
